For months and months the girls have been asking for a pet fish. So for Chanukah we gave them...

...the gift of an empty fishbowl.

We finally went to the aquarium today. The girls deliberated on fish selection and on decor selection and quite a lot on name selection but finally, officially, I'm proud to introduce our first family pet.

Meet Ms. Rainbow Purple Fireworks Sally (the male betta fish).

Welcome home, Fireworks. You should know you're not the only flashy girl to strut up and down the front hall, but the resident decorated ladies are very pleased to have you join them.
