Curiosity: a door that stops short of the floor.

Do you know what it is?

Let's look inside.

It's a broom closet!

I've always loved its brick back wall. The obverse of those bricks is the chimney to the living room fireplace.

You'll note my parents use this magical closet that so captured my childhood imagination to store...recyclable shopping bags.

But not brooms. There are no brooms to be seen.

Curious, indeed.

Strangely, I really want you to solve the mystery of the brooms. Where do they KEEP them? I really want to know! (You may think I'm kidding, but I'm not.)

I love your brick wall and your 3/4length door. Your parents' house sounds cool!
